A Note to Wandering Travelers

Welcome, and a quick apology to those who have accidentally stumbled upon this site. The Way of the Fife website is a live workbook for a book I’m writing on ethical leadership. I humbly ask for your patience as I build it.

While the ideas behind the book are familiar territory for me, building a website is not. I’m learning as I go, and though Squarespace makes it as easy as possible, you’re essentially watching a toddler take his first steps online. So please be gentle.

This website is a product of my personal journey, not only in my efforts to lead but also in assisting others to become leaders. Throughout the last three decades, I discovered the importance of looking beyond my own understanding to gain insight and wisdom from others. This wisdom has been gathered from several sources, including friends, books, articles, films, and, most notably, one very special television series, The Andy Griffith Show: A show which shaped me as a child and later helped shape me as a leader.

Hopefully, you’ll enjoy watching the site grow along with the ideas behind the book. I’m excited to have you take this journey with me.
